Proportional Valve Description

Proportional valve, the full name is electro-hydraulic proportional valve, is a kind of hydraulic valve that converts the input electrical signal into force or displacement proportionally, so as to continuously control the pressure, flow and other parameters.

The proportional valve is composed of DC proportional electromagnet and hydraulic valve. The hydraulic valve part is little different from the general hydraulic valve, and the DC proportional electromagnet is different from the electromagnet used in the general solenoid valve, and the displacement output and suction output can be obtained proportional to the given current by using the proportional electromagnet. Proportional valve according to its control parameters can be divided into proportional pressure valve, proportional flow valve, proportional direction valve three categories.

Development History

With the development of hydraulic transmission and hydraulic servo systems, some hydraulic systems that require continuous control of pressure, flow and direction without high control accuracy have appeared in production practice. Since the ordinary hydraulic components can not be full enough to have certain servo requirements, and the use of electro-hydraulic servo valves is too wasteful because the control accuracy requirements are not high, a proportional control valve between the ordinary hydraulic components (switch control) and the servo valve (continuous control) has been produced in recent years.

Electro-hydraulic proportional control valve (referred to as proportional valve) is a kind of cheap electro-hydraulic control valve with good anti-pollution performance.
